Thor's day, fit the first - walk

Just walked up to Shireoaks Middle lock & back today. Flickr pics
Heron on the bankside ...
... spots me ...
... and does a runner

a patch of buttercups

Plants are so ubiquitous

Little patch of reed reflected in the canal

These plants just look so prehistoric

Dunno what 'tis but it's pretty

These two are of the public footpath that follows the old
Lady Lee arm of the canal

Photographer's shadow

Of course there's always the pond
Baby pears

Coots don't bother to hide their nests

The dread blue-green algae
(actually bacteria)

This blackbird was there for over an hour, singing away

Swan swimming across the morning sunlight

I was trying to be arty with this one :)

Some of the few ducklings to escape the heron and pike
